16 Year Old Girl Shows More Guts Than 90% Of Elected GOP Over Mandates, ‘Take Me To Jail’

A Wyoming honor student is showing more guts than most of the elected Republicans in Washington.

The 16 year old Laramie High School student was arrested by police because she wasn’t wearing a mask.

The Albany County School District imposed a mask mandate in September that is up for review on October 15.

The police were involved because Smith refused to leave school claiming she had a right to education.

Smith explains what occurred with State Senator Anthony Bouchard:

“Today I was arrested for not wearing a mask. I’ve had six days issued of out-of-school suspension, that comes from three separate two-day suspensions. I’ve a thousand dollars of trespassing fines from our police department for not complying and getting suspended, and then refusing to leave school property because I had the right to education.”

According to her father Grace has the right under Wyoming’s constitutional rights under Article 1, Section 38 of their healthcare mandate to grant citizens the right to make their own health choice. Her father explained that Grace was also denied Article 7, Section 1 rights to a free education as well.

Members of the community are also furious because Laramie police had indicated that they wouldn’t respond if the school called the police about a student that refuses to wear a mask.

When police were called school officials put the High School in lockdown for 90 minutes. Police said they arrested Grace because she wouldn’t leave the school stating she was trespassing.

“When asked if they’re arresting her for [not wearing] her mask, they’ll say, ‘No, we’re arresting her for her violation of failure to comply in accordance with their trespassing ordinance,'” Andy Smith told Bouchard.

School officials have refused to comment on how many students have been suspended for violating the make order. Meanwhile, Grace has reported that teachers are discriminated against her for standing up for her beliefs.

“Right now, I should be playing sports and having fun,” she said. “And instead I’m fighting for the rights that were supposed to be won hundreds of years ago.”

Her father recorded the arrest.
