Responses Pour In After AP Report On Georgia Murder

Another avoidable tragedy has occurred at the hands of an illegal alien who was allowed to roam free due to lax immigration policies. On Thursday, Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student, was found dead near the Intramural Fields on the University of Georgia’s campus. Her alleged killer, Jose Antonio Ibarra, a 26-year-old illegal alien from Venezuela, had been arrested twice before but was never deported.

Despite the clear connection between this murder and the Biden administration’s immigration policies, the media is attempting to ignore the facts. The Associated Press, in particular, chose to frame the story as a commentary on toxic masculinity, completely disregarding the illegal status of Ibarra.

This is not an issue of women’s safety or the need for self-defense measures. This is a matter of enforcing our laws and protecting American citizens from preventable crimes. If Ibarra had been deported after his first arrest in New York City in 2023, or even after his second arrest for shoplifting in October 2023, Laken Riley might still be alive.

Instead, Ibarra was allowed to stay in the country and continue a life of crime, ultimately leading to the senseless death of a young woman with a bright future ahead of her. And yet, the media would rather deflect and blame “toxic masculinity” than acknowledge the failures of our immigration system and the need for strong enforcement.

It’s time to prioritize the safety and well-being of American citizens over the convenience of illegal aliens. We must enforce our immigration laws, deport those who are here illegally, and hold accountable those who think they are above the law.

Laken Riley’s death was avoidable, and it’s time for our leaders and the media to face the truth and take action to prevent further tragedies. Our hearts go out to her family and friends, and we must honor her memory by demanding change. It’s time to put the safety of American citizens first.
