An 8-year-old girl was shot and killed in Atlanta, Georgia near the site where many Rayshard Brooks protests are being held. Atlanta Mayor Keisha Longbottom has also responded to the shooting. Officials will not confirm that the armed group was part of the protests in the area however, they won’t deny it either.

Officials may not want to admit protestors killed the little girl her father had no problem calling them out.

Notice the mayor on the right of the mother patting the mother’s shoulder, how does she get a pass? It’s her city and she is allowing those protestors to remain there. If people are being shot for crossing a “barrier” then the crowd is no longer lawful. People absolutely have the right to protest but people also have the right not to get shot.
Atlanta Police responded to the area of University Avenue and the Downtown Connector just before 10 p.m.
Atlanta Police Police Sgt. John Chafee said that the 911 caller said a child had been shot and was being taken by private vehicle to Atlanta Medical Center.
Police met the vehicle at the hospital and the child received treatment but did not survive her injuries.
According to a preliminary investigation police report, the girl was riding in a vehicle with her mother and adult friend and exited the interstate onto University Avenue.
Chafee said that the driver attempted to drive into a parking lot in the 1200 block of Pryor Road when he was confronted by a group of armed people.
During the confrontation, the group fired into the vehicle striking it multiple times hitting the 8-year-old girl. The driver then fled the area, called for help, and immediately drove to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment.
Two members of city council also acknowledge the 8-year-old girl was killed, they learned of the incident after a rumor was going around that the KKK was involved in the shooting.
In regards to the incident that occurred at the Wendy’s, there’s misinformation circulating misrepresenting what occurred. It was an 8 yr old girl that was shot, I am not aware of her condition at this time but I have confirmed with APD that the KKK was not involved in shooting.

The same location has also been the scene of multiple protests since the day of that shooting. More shootings have also occurred in that immediate area since the shooting with at least one injuring a protester.
According to independent journalist, Tim Pool some are claiming the ‘armed group’ was part of the Rayshard Brooks protests however, that is speculation.
