Activist Group Makes Big Announcement

Ladies and gentlemen, let’s dive into the latest political drama unfolding within the Democratic Party. The Black Lives Matter Organization has publicly rejected Vice President Kamala Harris’s apparent nomination as the Democratic presidential nominee. And, oh boy, they did not hold back!

In a tweet, BLM first laid out the sequence of events leading up to Harris’ likely nomination. Then, they unleashed a scathing critique of the Democratic Party’s method to ensure her nomination. They highlighted the fact that Harris had won zero delegates in the primaries, yet here she is, positioned to be the nominee.

BLM didn’t mince words: “A 24-hour process of talking to party bosses is not democratic, nor is it a process Democrats should be proud of,” they tweeted. “We do not live in a dictatorship. Delegates are not oligarchs. Installing Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee and an unknown vice president without any public voting process would make the modern Democratic Party a party of hypocrites.”

The organization called on the DNC to establish a process allowing public participation in the nomination process. They demanded an informal, virtual snap primary across the country before the DNC convention in August. This demand came just hours after Harris secured enough delegates for the nomination, according to journalist Kat Stafford.

The irony here is palpable. Back in September 2020, as BLM riots swept across the nation, Harris praised the group’s “brilliance,” stating that she viewed the protests as a vital part of America’s evolution. Now, the same group is turning against her nomination, questioning the very democratic principles she claimed to champion.

But here’s the kicker: BLM’s call for a democratic process stands in stark contrast to the Marxist ideology professed by two of its founders, Alicia Garza and Patrisse Cullors. In 2015, Garza praised Marx and Lenin as foundational to social movements worldwide. She also asserted that true equality for black lives couldn’t coexist with capitalism. Cullors has been equally candid about her Marxist beliefs, openly stating, “I do believe in Marxism.”

Interestingly, BLM had previously deleted a page from its website that advocated for a communal approach to family structures, aligning with Marxist philosophy. The page stated, “We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.”

So, here we are, folks. The Democratic Party faces internal strife, with BLM demanding a more democratic nomination process while grappling with its own ideological contradictions. This unfolding saga is sure to add more fuel to the political fire as we approach the DNC convention. Stay tuned for more twists and turns in this political rollercoaster!
