Another one bites the dust…that could be a theme song for the promises that President Joe Biden made in the 2020 election.
Joe just can’t hide from the destruction that has come to this nation since he took office. We have an economic recession that looms for months to come. People are living paycheck to paycheck and finding it hard to pay for the gas in their cars. And the economic indicators show that this is going to continue for Biden’s remaining years in office.
The president pledged while campaigning that he would not raise taxes for anyone who makes less than $400,000/year.
Another one bites the dust…
Enter Patrick Bateman’s new spending agreement that was negotiated between Chuck Schumer and Joe Manchin.
The Schumer-Manchin deal raises taxes during a recession. This is not what you should be doing in a recession. And the legislation being passed by the Democrats will almost certainly mean a tax increase on both middle and lower-income earners nationwide.
The left is going to see that everyone suffers equally with the policy agenda…and that means higher taxes for all. There is simply no way to pay for all that people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) want to give to people, except for raised taxes.
There is one shred of hope left for us, and that falls in the lap of Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ). She has yet to read the draft and the hope is that she will kill the proposal.
If Sinema opposes the bill, it will be dead and the Democrat’s last hope of passing a significant spending bill this year before the midterms will die with the legislation.
But if she doesn’t…another one bites the dust and another promise is broken by Joe.
The country hangs in the balance…Say it ain’t so, Joe, say it ain’t so.
