CNN’s Brian Stelter went into a desk pounding tirade complaining about President Trump’s “authoritarianism.” Meanwhile, Democrat governors across the country are arresting or doing everything in their power to destroy small business owners who dare defy them.
“We are witnessing creeping authoritarianism in America….You can say it was just a tweet and you can say he was just kidding. It is still creeping authoritarianism, even if the guy is joking,” Stelter said.

Funny, I don’t think we ever heard from Stelter about Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s use of authoritarianism when she tried to destroy a 77-year-old barber.
Karl Manke, 77, defied Gov. Whitmer’s lockdown order and opened his business. After several attempts, Whitmer tried to shut him down. After a month-long court battle, Whitmer lost, softened her stance, and allowed salons and barbershops to reopen.
In New Jersey, Governor Phil Murphy ordered the arrest of Ian Smith and Frank Trumbetti for contempt, obstruction, and violation of a disaster control act for defying a New Jersey Superior Court order to shut down in accordance with the state’s COVID-19 guidelines. The two opened their gym in May defying the governors lockdown orders.
Both men were released from prison last week after Judge Robert Lougy ordered the gym to close last Friday. The order allowed the health department to place a lock on the doors, but Smith and Trumbettie removed the door from the hinges.
Smith and Trumbettie also kicked down the boarded-up entrance to the fitness center and reopened over the weekend.
The owners of Atilis Gym knocked down the boards covering the entrance to re open Saturday. The gym was shutdown for defying The Governor’s & Health Dept’s order. Today gym goers tell @6abc they feel safe. One owner tells us no members have tested positive . pic.twitter.com/zOaQSvLIxI
