Amanda Seales Social Media Post Draws Debate

Hello folks. Actress Amanda Seales is facing intense backlash after claiming that the recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally was “staged.” Seales, 43, shared her controversial theory in a video posted on X, sparking a storm of criticism online.

In the video, Seales quipped, “That was more staged than a Tyler Perry production of Madea Runs for President.” She went on to question the authenticity of the event, saying, “I lived in Harlem long enough to know gunshots do not sound like making popcorn on the stove.” Seales suggested the sound effects were fabricated, and the blood seen was merely theatrical.

“Pop, pop, pop. Where’d the blood come from? So in theater, in movies, they have what’s called blood pellets,” Seales explained. “People used them at Halloween. It’s basically a pellet of fake blood that’s in your mouth, and when you crush it, blood comes out.”

Seales doubted Trump’s reaction, claiming, “To be frank, small hands Trump would not respond by raising his fist in the air triumphantly were an actual attempt made on his life.” She further speculated that the incident was orchestrated to contrast Trump’s perceived strength with President Biden’s alleged fragility.

Seales wrapped up her video by quoting the movie “Ghost”: “My God. Molly, you in danger girl.”

The internet swiftly condemned Seales‘ remarks. One commenter blasted her, saying, “She has no empathy, no compassion, nothing. A person DIED, 2 are fighting for their lives @amandaseales, but it was ‘staged.’”

Another user added, “An innocent man who attended the rally to support his candidate is dead, you unbelievable, idiotic piece of human garbage.” A third echoed, “What about the dead people? Was that fake too[?]”

Sky News Australia host James Macpherson criticized Seales, stating, “These people are so consumed with hate that they’ve lost all contact with reality, haven’t they?” Journalist Brad Polumbo also weighed in, calling Seales’ theory a “grotesque and irresponsible conspiracy theory with no basis in reality.”

The victim killed at the rally was identified as 50-year-old Pennsylvania firefighter Corey Comperatore. In a press conference, state governor Josh Shapiro honored Comperatore as “a hero” who shielded his family during the shooting.

Comperatore lost his life, and two other attendees were critically injured in the attack. Trump himself was grazed on the top of his right ear by a bullet.
