Woke 2020: Tire Treads Are Now A Symbol Of Hate, Motorists Under Investigation…No This Isn’t A Joke

Drivers beware – at least if you live in Canada – at least in West Vancouver, British Columbia because you may find yourself under criminal investigation if you leave tire marks on the road because you turned too fast.

“West Vancouver Police are investigating a mischief to property, after someone defaced the department’s new Pride crosswalk,” law enforcement officials announced this week in a statement.

“On July 7, 2020 at 4:04 pm staff inside the police station heard a loud and sustained tire squealing outside. When officers took a closer look, they discovered that someone had just left tire marks across a portion of the crosswalk, at the intersection of 16th St and Esquimalt Ave.”

The statement said that the vehicle left at a high rate of speed and was not found.

So what makes this a hate crime?

Allegedly Police claim the driver “defaced” the “Pride crosswalk.”

But wait! There’s more…

“This is very upsetting,” said Communications Officer Kevin Goodmurphy. “For whatever reason, this person has chosen to leave a gesture of hate on a crosswalk that stands for the exact opposite.”

The “crime” was captured on CCTV footage and the West Vancouver police issued a lookout order for a 1999-2004 black Ford Mustang with red racing stripes.

“We have had nothing but support from community members following the installation of the crosswalk, and we know that those people represent the majority,” Goodmurphy said.

The West Vancouver Police are asking locals for help and say they can contact the Crime Stoppers hotline.

In response to the police on twitter one user asked police, “What if someone walks across it with muddy shoes? Would that be a hate crime?” Which is a good question in this day and age.

Police are making a big leap in assuming the driver is a bigot and purposely defaced the “Pride crosswalk with a small tire mark. This is woke culture 2020, some punches the gas so their car’s backend slides a bit, and police are investing a possible hate crime.
