President Biden is moving in to try and help Democrats take over the election system and will sign an executive order to hold onto power.
The White House announced that Biden is planning on signing an executive order that will expand voter registration to to prisoners in federal custody, improve overseas voters, and look at barriers to citizens with disabilities.
“Every eligible voter should be able to vote and have that vote counted,” Mr. Biden said in prepared remarks at the Martin & Coretta Scott King Unity Breakfast on Sunday, according to the White House. “If you have the best ideas, you have nothing to hide. Let the people vote.”
Biden is also demanding that the Senate pass the For The People Act of 2021 H.R. 1 which would nullify voter ID laws, other state election rules, and pave the way for a federal takeover of the election system.
“When I say that the president urges Congress to take action that would prevent states from attempts at voter suppression, that applies to all states, and it applies to making sure that the federal government and private litigants have the tools necessary to prevent restrictive voting action,” a senior administration official said at a background briefing.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., last week slammed the bill as “exactly the wrong response” to what he called the “distressing lack of faith in our elections,” saying Democrats want to use their “temporary power” to “try to ensure they’ll never have to relinquish it.”
Funny Mitch should say that considering he is part of the reason Republicans lost the Senate.
Democrat’s are looking for a clean sweep, this month. Last week Pelosi passed HR 1, this week she is planning on passing a gun control bill, and Senator Joe Manchin(D-WV) has already caved on keeping the filibuster.
HR 1 is considered dead on arrival however, I wouldn’t put anything past the Democrats. They know they squeaked one out in November and they are going to do everything they can to change the rules because they still can’t win based off their ideas.
