Looks like President Biden’s team is getting nervous about the investigation into his handling of classified documents. According to sources, they’re worried that the report by special counsel Robert Hur will contain embarrassing details, possibly including photos, of how Biden stored the documents.
While they don’t expect any criminal charges to come out of the investigation, Biden’s team is concerned about the potential political ramifications. And with the report expected to be released as early as this week, the anxiety in the White House is palpable.
This whole situation is just another example of the double standard in politics. When former President Donald Trump was accused of mishandling classified material, the media was up in arms. But with Biden, there seems to be a different set of rules. Despite his own admission that he had classified documents from as far back as 1974 when he was just a senator, we’re supposed to believe that he did nothing wrong.
And let’s not forget the infamous “Corvette defense” that Biden gave to Fox News’ Peter Doocy. Supposedly, the documents were safe because they were next to his beloved Corvette. It’s almost comical if it weren’t such a serious matter. But hey, I guess when you’re a Democrat, you can do no wrong.

It’s also worth noting that the leaks coming out of the White House don’t bode well for Biden. There seems to be some internal tension, as some of his own people are feeling the need to warn the public about the potential embarrassment to come. It’s no wonder, considering some of the images that may be released could show exactly how Biden stored classified materials in his own home and office.

A former senior adviser to Attorney General Merrick Garland, Anthony Coley, even had some harsh words for Biden’s team, accusing them of not being “initially transparent” and slow-walking discovery in the case. He points out the hypocrisy of the situation, with Trump facing 40 criminal counts for similar actions, while Biden seems to be getting a pass.
But perhaps what’s most concerning is that this investigation was kept quiet for so long. Who stopped the National Archives from reporting the first discovery of Biden’s classified documents back in November 2022? And why were we only told about it in January of this year, after the CBS report had already been released? It seems like Biden and his team were trying to cover up this issue, but now it’s come back to bite them.

It’s time for the media to start holding Democrats to the same standard as Republicans. Just because someone has a “D” next to their name doesn’t mean they’re immune from criticism or consequences. But as we’ve seen time and time again, it’s one set of rules for Democrats and another for everyone else.
