You can enter our country without a passport but pretty soon if you are an American citizen you’ll need one to get around.
The Biden administration is working with private companies to develop a Chinese style vaccine passport system that would force Americans to prove they have been vaccinated to enter certain businesses.
Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services is in charge of the venture.

The administration’s initiative has been driven largely by arms of the Department of Health and Human Services, including an office devoted to health information technology, said five officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the effort. The White House this month took on a bigger role coordinating government agencies involved in the work, led by coronavirus coordinator Jeff Zients, with a goal of announcing updates in coming days, said one official.

The initiative has emerged as an early test of the Biden administration, with officials working to coordinate across dozens of agencies and a variety of experts, including military officials helping administer vaccines and health officials engaging in international vaccine efforts.
The system Biden is building is similar to the QR code system in China that restricts people from areas if they aren’t vaccinated, don’t have good credit, or are not allowed access to a specific area.

They are hoping that the vaccine passports will force more Americans to get shots. Officials inside the Biden Administration are hoping that the passports will force Trump voters to receive vaccinations because they won’t return to normal life without them.
Many health officials around the country are trying to warn the Biden Administration the vaccine passports will backfire.
“I would change my travel plans,” said a man identified as Patrick of Tennessee.
Public health and ethics experts are guiding Biden to let private companies do the enforcement so it doesn’t look like it’s coming from the feds. Similar to how Democrats used tech companies to censor conservatives.
“If it became a government mandate, it would go down a dark road very quickly,” said Brian Castrucci, who leads the Bethesda, Md.-based de Beaumont Foundation, a public health group funding Luntz’s research into why some Americans are balking at the vaccine. “It becomes a credential. It becomes a ‘needing your papers,’ if you will. That could be dangerous – and it could turn off people.”
Just think, you can vote without ID but you better not leave your house without your COVID papers.
