In a shocking turn of events, a Gold Star father was arrested during President Biden’s State of the Union address for speaking out against the president’s disastrous handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal.
Steve Nikoui, father of fallen Marine Lance Corporal Kareem Nikoui, was invited as a guest of Rep. Brian Mast, a Republican from Florida, to attend the speech. But instead of sitting quietly, Nikoui used his voice to express his frustration and anger over the Biden administration’s gross incompetence.
As Biden boasted about the state of the country under his watch, Nikoui stood in the visitor galley and shouted “Abbey Gate” and “13 Marines” – a direct reference to the location and number of U.S. service members killed during the chaotic withdrawal.
And what did the hero of the hour, President Biden, do? He didn’t even acknowledge the brave sacrifice of these 13 soldiers. In fact, he couldn’t even muster the decency to honor their names during his speech. But hey, we’re sure he was too busy patting himself on the back for the mess he’s made.
The man who shouted and got forcibly removed from #SOTU was Steve Nikoui.

But Nikoui wasn’t the only one fed up with Biden’s delusions of grandeur. Rep. Mast, who invited Nikoui to the State of the Union, was outraged by the arrest and vowed to hold the Biden administration accountable for their actions.

And rightfully so. To this day, not a single Biden official has faced any consequences for the disastrous and deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Nikoui and other Gold Star families are left to mourn the senseless loss of their loved ones.
But it gets worse. Not only did Biden leave behind billions of dollars worth of military equipment, he also abandoned our allies and handed Afghanistan over to the Taliban. And let’s not forget the cherry on top – the botched drone strike that killed innocent civilians, including children.
So yes, Steve Nikoui, a grieving father, used his voice to call out the truth. And for that, he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor “crowding, obstructing or incommoding.” Meanwhile, Biden continues to live in his fantasy world where he’s the savior of America.
Thankfully Nikoui was released the following morning, but let’s not forget the real issue at hand – the complete failure of the Biden administration and their blatant disregard for the lives of our service members.
