Right on cue, New York Governor Cuomo sets the stage to enforce COVID type restrictions to control gun violence.
Cuomo announced that he is declaring a disaster emergency for gun violence and will be treating it like a public health crisis.
“Just like we did with COVID, New York is going to lead the nation once again with a comprehensive approach to combating and preventing gun violence, and our first step is acknowledging the problem with a first-in-the-nation disaster emergency on gun violence,” he said.
Cuomo plans to curb gun violence through executive order and wants to lead the charge.
“Now, this is a national problem. I get it. But somebody has to step up and somebody has to address it,” Cuomo added.
Cuomo’s announcement comes on the heels of Biden headed to Chicago to address the gun violence plaguing the city and all of this is very suspicious.
Biden could do the same which could lead to COVID like restrictions on gun owners.
In April Biden already called gun violence a “public health emergency” and said, “But I also — today, we’re taking steps to confront not just the gun crisis, but what is actually a public health crisis. Nothing — nothing I’m about to recommend in any way impinges on the Second Amendment. They’re phony, arguments suggesting that these are Second Amendment rights at stake from what we’re talking about.”
Biden added, “For a fraction of the cost of gun violence, we can save lives, create safe and healthy communities, and build economies that work for all of us, and save billions of American dollars.”
America has experienced a year of lockdowns, censorship, mask orders that would make a dictator proud. Now, Democrats are using the same language concerning the 2nd Amendment.
Conservatives have been warning about this for months and this could be a stunt to get around Congress and confiscate firearms.
