Jack Wilson of the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas was a hero. When a man walked into the church and murdered two people during a church service, Wilson went into action and quickly eliminated the threat.
Wilson (a good guy with a gun) swiftly stopped what could have been another massacre with his lawfully carried handgun. In the video, you could also see others in the church produce their lawfully carried firearms to make sure the threat had been stopped. It was calm, nobody panicked and there was no shoot out.
The entire episode was over in six seconds.
However, Michael Bloomberg a Democrat 2020 presidential primary candidate shamed Jack Wilson without even mentioning his name and cast aside the service Wilson did for his fellow man.
“It may true, I wasn’t there, I don’t know the facts, that somebody in the congregation had their own gun and killed the person who murdered two other people,” he said. “But it’s the job of law enforcement to, uh, have guns and to decide when to shoot.” He continued, “You just do not want the average citizen carrying a gun in a crowded place.”
Police said that the best they could have done to respond to the church would have been a few minutes. Who knows how many people would have died or been injured before police could have subdued the shotgun-wielding deranged man.
What Bloomberg said in and of itself is unconstitutional, the constitution gave us the right to decide to shoot and when not to shoot – we know we are responsible for the round that comes out of that barrel. Michael Bloomberg hates the fact that citizens can carry firearms and has even used his billions to influence local elections to pass sweeping gun laws; just look at was he’s done in Virginia. He spent millions of dollars to get Democrats elected to the state legislator and in return, they were told to pass anti-gun laws.
If it was up to Bloomberg more people would have died and then he would have taken advantage of the incident to fuel his angst against gun owners.
