Democrats received some bad news in Pennsylvania, their vote by mail plan is a chaotic mess.
Pennsylvania has rejected over 370,000 applications for mail-in ballots, that’s about 1 in every 5 ballots. Officials reported that 90 percent of the denied applications were because they were duplicate requests.
During the primary in Pennsylvania, voters were able to request if they would like a mail-in ballot. The problem was most of the people that requested to receive a mail-in ballot had already requested one.
The Hill reports:
The report found that the majority of 372,000 voters whose requests were denied did not realize that they had checked a box to be sent ballots for the general election in November.
In addition, voters have also been confused by unclear or inaccurate information on the state’s ballot-tracking website, and by a wave of information from political parties and get-out-the vote groups, according to the report.
The confusion has caused county offices across the state to hire temporary staff and work seven days a week to cope.
“The volume of calls we have been getting has been overwhelming,” Marybeth Kuznik, elections director in Armstrong County, northeast of Pittsburgh told ProPublica. “It has been almost like a denial of service attack at times because it seemed that sometimes all I could get done was answer the phone!”
During the lockdowns, we all went to the grocery store, got fuel if we need to and there were no major reported outbreaks as a result. For months the Democrats screamed the country would need to vote by mail because it “wasn’t safe.” Now, just a couple of weeks before the election their plot is blowing up in their face. Democrat officials – like in PA – have botched vote by mail because they made it confusing or their fellow Democrats voting by mail are too stupid to follow the directions.
If projections hold in Pennsylvania that Democrats will mainly vote by mail and Republicans choose to vote in person on Election Day that could give President Trump a huge edge in winning the state.
In that happens, we should personally thank Nancy Pelosi for pushing Democrats to vote by mail.
