There’s something exquisitely on-brand about the modern Democratic media machine wheeling out Robert DeNiro on a Sunday morning to tell Middle America what’s what. As if the average American is sitting in church pews or diner booths across Ohio, Iowa, or Arkansas thinking, “If only a 1980s movie star worth $500 million would explain reality to me!”
This is the elite bubble at its most tone-deaf and unintentionally comedic.
Robert DeNiro says rural Americans believe Trump because they aren’t getting the truth from the media they watch.

MSNBC, ever desperate to remind us why cable news is dying, handed the mic to DeNiro — not to promote a film or talk about the art of storytelling, but to lecture voters. It’s the usual fare: Trump is dangerous, Republicans are scary, and you, dear viewer from flyover country, are misinformed unless you’re watching MSNBC and clapping like a seal at every Democrat talking point. All delivered with the smug affect of a man who hasn’t been within shouting distance of a Walmart in 30 years.
The reaction online was swift — and blisteringly hilarious.
I’m embarrassed for him, he’s about as out of touch as a person could get. Dudes at stage 5 TDS!

DeNiro’s segment was met not with awe or admiration, but with laughter and mockery. Americans across the heartland rightly saw it for what it was: another coastal elitist sermon wrapped in condescension, delivered from a marble tower of irrelevance. Posters pointed out that DeNiro probably hasn’t interacted with an actual working-class American outside of his driver or house staff since Reagan was in office. And yet, there he was, the face of “truth” for the Democratic Party — the same party that thinks a septuagenarian actor whose most recent cultural contribution was yelling profanities at Trump during an awards show still carries moral authority.
It’s not just that DeNiro is disconnected — it’s that Democrats think this works. That people still take their cues from celebrities who despise them, mock their values, and see them as unenlightened rubes in need of re-education. Newsflash: that model collapsed years ago. If anything, having DeNiro or his fellow Hollywood millionaires campaign against Trump is worth a few extra electoral votes for the GOP.
“the truth”… according to DeNiro’s Media:
-Kamala Harris: very popular
-Joe Biden: mentally sharp
-Unvaccinated asymptomatic people can infect vaccinated people
-The founder of TPUSA, who despised the concept of race, was racist.
-Violating Immigration Law is not a crime— Kevin M. Nelson (@KevinMNelsonUSA) October 19, 2025
Because here’s the new reality: the more Democrats tie their identity to aging celebrities, coastal elitists, and legacy media types who speak in sneers, the further they drift from the American middle. The Democrats of today are no longer the party of the worker — they’re the party of the performer.
You’re a trooper for watching that for us! I know I’m supposed to know my opponent, but they don’t ever have a point other than hate Trump, so I’m kind of tuned out at this point.

And the show? It’s getting stale.
