The White House Must Not Communicate with the White House Press Secretary. That’s how dysfunctional this presidential administration is.
Prior to President Biden’s Thursday night primetime address to the nation, the White House released three short excerpts of Biden’s remarks. That’s good.
But unfortunately, they were in direct opposition to what Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters earlier in the afternoon.
“MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards,” Biden will say, according to the excerpts. “Backwards to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love,” the president will add.
And Jean-Pierre had said just a few hours earlier that the speech from Biden would be “optimistic” and would not be “political.”
Huh?
She also said that America would “hear from him directly: this is not about one political party, it is not about one person in politics.”
After defending calling Republicans “semi-fascists,” and “MAGA extremists,” Karine Jean-Pierre says “this is not about one political party.”
Nothing will stop Biden from harping on his favorite topic, attacking “MAGA forces,” the GOP, and the former president. No matter what his press secretary says he will say, the president is talking about one political party and basically one person in politics. Biden is simply obsessed with Trump, he can’t get him out of his head.
Biden said he will speak “plainly” to the people.
“For a long time, we’ve reassured ourselves that American democracy is guaranteed,” Biden also plans to say. “But it is not,” he’ll assert. “We have to defend it. Protect it. Stand up for it. Each and every one of us.”
Biden is threatening America with what will happen if they don’t stop the MAGA force. He calls them extremist semi-fascists.
Nothing to see here…nothing pessimistic or political.
