You know that you’ve messed up when even Senators Mitt Romney and Susan Collins attack Democrats. In particular, Senator Collins ripped Democrats from the Senate floor.
To start, on Sunday, Senator Romney exploded on Democrats who, after spending the weekend negotiating a bill changed their minds at the last minute thanks to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
There is even a rumor that after five Republican senators were forced into quarantine, that Pelosi and Schumer saw this an opportunity to take the upper hand.
Senator Mitt Romney was one of the senators forced into the quarantine, and he is furious.
“Nothing in the Senate has shocked me, until today,” Romney tweeted. “Standing in the way of a critically needed rescue package is irresponsible and reckless. Dems say not enough money to states: nearly $200 billion isn’t chump change. Hospitals get at least $75 billion.”
“As for funds for companies, it’s to keep entities that employ millions of Americans from folding—it’s to save jobs,” he added in a second tweet. “Keep this up a little longer and we will go from social distancing to social destruction.”

On Monday Senator Susan Collins took to the Senate floor and unleashed her disgust.
“Is that what we’ve come to?” Sen. Susan Collins says, criticizing Democrats over coronavirus economic relief bill delay.
“We don’t have another day. We don’t have another hour. We don’t have another minute to delay acting.” https://t.co/OOBBz7IqvB pic.twitter.com/VoR3qfVBVa

Sen. Susan Collins says she “cannot believe that the answer” to the coronavirus crisis from Senate Democrats “is delay, delay, delay. No sense of urgency.”
“Never have I seen Republicans and Democrats fail to come together when confronted with a crisis.” https://t.co/OOBBz7IqvB pic.twitter.com/aw5ZRtZHDQ

I have never heard so much emotion coming from Senator Collins, thank you.
