Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino is claiming that a Biden family member brought cocaine into the White House. Bongino made the claim on his podcast, “The Dan Bongino Show,” on Tuesday.
Bongino said that he was told about the incident by a “high-level source” who is still working in the Secret Service. He said that the cocaine was found in the West Wing and that the Secret Service is investigating who brought it in.
“There’s absolutely ZERO chance anyone other than a family member brought that cocaine inside the White House complex,” Bongino said Wednesday. “No chance that would make it past the mag/security checkpoints. Family bypasses those.”
Bongino isn’t alone as the only former White House veteran to question the White House’s account of the cocaine’s origin and point the finger at Hunter Biden. Ari Fleischer, who was press secretary under Bush, said insiders surely know the real story.
“You have got to be kidding me,” Fleischer tweeted. “Cocaine was found at the WH and authorities aren’t saying exactly where it was found. If it’s the Old Executive Office Building, it’s likely staff. If it’s the mansion, it’s likely Hunter. Reporters do your job.”
The White House has not commented on Bongino’s claim. However, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said that the agency is “conducting a full review” of the incident.
The incident is the latest in a series of scandals that have plagued the Biden administration. In recent months, the administration has been embroiled in controversies involving Hunter Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine and China, as well as the chaotic withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.
The cocaine incident is likely to further damage the Biden administration’s reputation. It raises questions about the security of the White House and the conduct of those who work there.
