All I can say is that all hell has broken loose over Ricky Gervais’s new comedy special and it may be why Netflix recently issues a memo to their woke employees to leave.
If you thought the outrage behind Dave Chappelle’s show was bad just wait because Gervais doesn’t hold back.
In a promo released by Gervais, he posted a bit poking fun at trans woman.
“Remember the old woman, you know the ones with wombs,” the comedian joked. “Those f—ing dinosaurs.”
The new woman are great he added “you know the ones with beards and c**ks.”
He went on a tear and activists are already flipping out.
A bench that was donated by Netflix in memory of the Gervais special on loss was destroyed after the clip went viral.
Nottingham City Council said the vandalism was “unacceptable and heart-breaking.”
“We thank the member of public who alerted us to this and took the time to collect all the damaged sections. The next step will be to look at how we can replace this bench as quickly as possible.”
The bench was a setting of a series called After Life, the main character Tony, played by Gervais is often sitting on a bench in the churchyard near the grave of his wife. The bench is a setting that sparks conversations about grief.
The bench was donated by Netflix in partnership with the suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
The critics are furious calling his anti-trans jokes “a disgrace.”
“Ricky Gervais is a disgrace, he is going to cause hate crime and ultimately the death of Trans folk. Anyone who needs to vilify minorities to get a laugh is the most evil hateful soul and seriously needs mental help,” on social media drone on social media wrote.
Woke activists are furious when the comedian also attacks the “dominant mob.”
“You can’t predict what will be offensive in the future,” per Variety
. Gervais adds, “You don’t know who the dominant mob will be. Like, the worst thing you can say today, get you canceled on Twitter, death threats, the worst thing you can say today is, ‘Women don’t have penises,’ right? Now, no one saw that coming. You won’t find a ten year old tweet saying ‘Women don’t have penises.’ You know why? We didn’t think we f**king had to!”
In conclusion of his special Gervais makes no apologies, “in real life of course I support trans rights. I support all human rights, and trans rights are human rights. Live your best life. Use your preferred pronouns. Be the gender that you feel you are. But meet me halfway, ladies. Lose the c*ck. That’s all I’m saying.”
You gotta wonder if the critics are mad about the jokes or incensed that people were hysterically laughing at them.
Below is a clip of the special, be advised Gervais uses explicit language.
