Another Hollywood actor got a strong dose of karma after he called critics of his woke movie “idiots.”
Actor Chris Evans, the new voice of the Buzz Lightyear who played Steve Rogers (Captain America) in Disney’s Avengers series, called people complaining about a scene in the new “Lightyear” movie “idiots.”
The scene was initially cut from the movie but was reinserted in response to the parental rights bill signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Evans responded to American critics who were upset about the scene by calling them “idiots.”
“The real truth is those people are idiots,” Evans said. “Every time there’s been social advancement as we wake up, the American story, the human story is one of constant social awakening and growth and that’s what makes us good.”
He added: “There’s always going to be people who are afraid and unaware and trying to hold on to what was before, but those people die off like dinosaurs. I think the goal is to pay them no mind, march forward and embrace the growth that makes us human.”
Posed to take the top spot, the film was projected to make $70 million; however, it only generated $50 million.
The only thing that is dying off is Disney’s profits.
Good. Beyond the whole “not-so-secret-gay-agenda” to quote @benshapiro, this had been trending because the creators slammed the Tim Allen character/version, despite it being a very successful franchise and spawning multiple sequels. Sure sounds like a winning model to me. NOT. https://t.co/GSpYEqdAIw

The kiss scene caused the film to be banned in 14 other countries, including China, and Evans has remained silent about that.

Meanwhile, an excellent old movie with no agenda continues to keep on trucking.
The legs on this thing are amazing. Already at a 3.75x multiple off of a pretty good opening weekend and no signs of slowing down. Man. https://t.co/zArIKLUFqN
