Well, it looks like we’re finally getting serious about border security. After four years of watching the southern border turn into a revolving door under Biden’s disastrous policies, the Trump administration is making it crystal clear: the invasion is over, and the adults are back in charge.
The Pentagon has deployed 3,000 active-duty troops to the border, including a Stryker Brigade Combat Team. Yes, you read that right—actual military forces, not just bureaucrats in khakis handing out welcome packets. These troops, along with their Stryker vehicles, will be reinforcing security operations to seal the border and restore the territorial integrity of the United States. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth made it clear that this is more than just a photo-op. This is a direct response to years of chaos, cartel violence, and mass illegal crossings that the previous administration conveniently pretended didn’t exist.
And just to make sure everyone gets the message, Hegseth personally warned Mexican officials that the U.S. is prepared to take unilateral military action if Mexico doesn’t get serious about taking down the drug cartels. For those unfamiliar with political speak, that’s a polite way of saying, Handle your business, or we will. Of course, Mexican officials weren’t too thrilled about this, whining about how it would “undermine Mexican sovereignty.” Funny how they suddenly care about sovereignty now—but didn’t have much to say when millions of their citizens (and plenty of bad actors from other countries) were flooding into our country under Biden’s open-border free-for-all.
We are dead serious about 100% OPERATIONAL CONTROL of the southern border. https://t.co/5bzvEQ8qPu

Meanwhile, the results are already speaking for themselves. Illegal crossings have plummeted since Trump retook office in January. In February, Border Patrol recorded just 8,326 apprehensions—a jaw-dropping drop from the 300,000+ crossings per month under Biden. And before the leftist media starts clutching their pearls, no, these aren’t just manipulated numbers. These are the direct result of enforcing the law, ending catch-and-release, and making it clear that the United States is not a free-for-all welfare state for whoever can make it across the Rio Grande.
Naturally, Trump wasted no time in celebrating this historic achievement. He took to social media to announce that February saw the lowest number of illegal crossings in U.S. history—“BY FAR!” as he put it. And he’s not wrong. In just over a month, Trump has accomplished what Biden couldn’t (or wouldn’t) do in four years: stop the mass influx of illegal immigrants, eject those who have no legal right to be here, and send a message that the days of open borders are over.
Of course, the left will still find a way to be outraged. Expect the usual sob stories from corporate media about families being “torn apart” and how “cruel” it is to enforce immigration law. But here’s a reality check: enforcing the border isn’t cruelty—it’s common sense. No country on Earth allows unrestricted immigration without consequences. Try sneaking into Mexico without documentation and see how quickly their government puts you in a detention center—or worse. Yet for years, Democrats acted like the U.S. should be the one exception, bending over backward to accommodate illegal immigration at the expense of law-abiding citizens.
A new wave of U.S. active-duty troops are gearing up to be deployed at the southern border in the coming weeks, as President Trump seeks to clamp down on border security and fulfill a central promise of his campaign. @Alex_Presha reports. https://t.co/blPLgK7EuC pic.twitter.com/lLs9CUuMNF

But those days are over. Trump and his administration aren’t just talking about securing the border; they’re actually doing it. Deploying the military, threatening direct action against cartels, and shutting down illegal crossings isn’t just about policy—it’s about restoring national sovereignty. Because at the end of the day, a country that can’t control its own borders isn’t a country at all. And under Trump, America is a country once again.
Under President Trump’s leadership, we’re already seeing historic results at the southern border. February was the lowest month in recorded history for encounters at our border.
