Trump supporter Dave Portnoy has done more for small business than Joe Biden or the Democrats have ever done.
In December, Portnoy annoyed with Congress and Democrat governors set up “The Barstool Fund” for small businesses in need of financial help. If a restaurant or small business needs some help they can apply by email online and the foundation will cover needs like rent or tax payments, as long as they continue to pay their employees.
So far he’s raised over $18 million.
“If you meet that and you’re a small business that’s been around for a little bit, or maybe not, but if it’s a gym, restaurant, bar and you’re not going to be able to survive the next couple of months, send us an email,” Portnoy said.
Portnoy has been recording his phone calls with small businesses and they are incredibly moving to watch.
Thank you @TODAYshow Not to be greedy but we need more donations for #barstoolfund. We don’t want to slow down. Let’s hit 20 million

Portnoy put his money where his mouth was when he announced the endeavor contribution half a million dollars of his own money.
Over the weekend Portnoy took CNN to task for ignoring his fundraiser who proudly pushed Beyonce’s “BeyGOOD Impact Fund” offering $5000 grants to 100 people facing foreclosures or evictions during the pandemic.
This is great. I wonder if there are any other charities going on that are helping Americans with the corona pandemic that could use press coverage to help raise more money? 🦗🦗🦗 https://t.co/ASxrcQvQ2j
