Shouldn’t it be time to begin asking if the Democratic Party is displaying blatant racism?
Some believe that the left’s hypocrisy is something that needs to be exposed.
The seeds of what we are seeing today started back in 1991 when then-conservative Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas was being interrogated about “conversations of a sexual nature or about pornographic material.”
Thomas gave this response: “From my standpoint as a black American, as far as I’m concerned, it is a high-tech lynching for uppity blacks who in any way deign to think for themselves, to do for themselves, to have different ideas, and it is a message that unless you kowtow to an old order, this is what will happen to you. You will be lynched, destroyed, [and] caricatured by a committee of the U.S. — U.S. Senate, rather than hung from a tree.”
The left’s racist attacks continue against Thomas today in the aftermath of the June 2022 5-4 majority Supreme Court decision that overturned Rov v. Wade.
Angry mobs appeared outside of Thomas’ house and vicious words were spoken on outlets like CNN and MSNBC.
There was fervor around Thomas when it was Justice Samuel Alito who wrote the majority opinion, not Justice Thomas.
South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott condemned the racist attacks on Thomas and other black conservatives in an interview with Fox News host Jesse Waters in June 2022.
“I certainly think that the greatest threat to the liberal coalition is Black conservatives who stand up and think for ourselves. We represent the fact that the African American community is not monolithic. If you can ever break the stronghold that the Democrats have on the African American community, the entire coalition falls apart.
And think about this, Jesse: President Biden’s approval ratings have never been lower in the African American community and the Hispanic community. The last thing [the Left wants] to see is people like Clarence Thomas, Ben Carson, and myself standing up and making common sense popular everywhere in the nation.
And oh, by the way, we happen to be Black. That is a great threat to the entire coalition on the Left. So they want to shut it down, cancel Clarence Thomas because he dares to think for himself.”
Justice Thomas’s descriptor of “uppity black” conservatives is important to remember now. These are blacks who dare to refuse to live on the Democrat plantation. So the Party believes that they must be dismissed, ignored, ridiculed, or destroyed for refusing to toe the left-wing line.
