Former Secretary of State John Kerry wanted to assure all of the Iowans that former Vice President Joseph R. Biden is like liberal veterans who would never use an “AR-16 with a long clip” to hunt.
Kerry proudly claimed he is a lifelong gun owner and hunter before sounding like a blooper reel for a movie.
“You heard from Joe about the things he did with the NRA,” the former Massachusetts senator said. “That took courage. Delaware is a tough state. I’m a hunter. I’m a gun owner. I’ve been one all my life. There’s not a veteran here who would take an AR-16 with a long clip to go out and shoot a deer or shoot anything. There is no business — Joe led the fight to get those things off the street.”
We think John Kerry -who if you didn’t know served in Vietnam – was talking about the popular AR-15 semiautomatic fife and magazines.
“We have a crowd who’s willing to bring [weapons I don’t support] back,” Mr. Kerry continued. “And we saw what happened in Las Vegas and other places. We need a Joe Biden with the guts and the courage and the savvy to be able to do something about that’s reasonable about guns in our country.”
The stupid stuff that John Kerry says breaks my brain, how do you even respond to that. Oh please, please Mr. Kerry run for President to “save” your party, I want to see you on a stage trying to debate President Trump.

Someone should probably tell Kerry – who claims to be a hunter – that according to the ATF the AR-15 platform is becoming incredibly popular in hunting. ATF Associate Deputy Director Turk told the Washington Post:
“The use of AR-15s, AK-style, and similar rifles now commonly referred to as “modern sporting rifles” has increased exponentially in sport shooting. These firearm types are now standard for hunting activities. ATF could re-examine its 20-year-old study to bring it up to date with the sport shooting landscape of today, which is vastly different than it was years ago.”
