Former Vice President Joe Biden and 2020 Presidential hopeful is getting really desperate as Senator Bernie Sanders continues to close the gap. During a pitstop of his “No Malarkey” tour, things got really interesting. Biden was asked by a member at one of his events if he would ever consider nominating former President Barack Obama to the Supreme Court.
Biden responded, “if he’d take it, yes.”
Obama wouldn’t be the first president to ever occupy both offices, William Howard Taft also served as President of the United States and Supreme Court Justice.
During the stop, Biden also argued against Senate Republicans subpoenaing him to the Senate. Biden said that in his 40 years of public life he has cooperated with legitimate requests. However, he does not feel him testifying before the Senate is a legitimate request.
“But I am just not going to pretend that there is any legal basis for Republican subpoenas for my testimony in the impeachment trial,” Biden said.
Senate Republicans have warned Senate Minority Leader that if he is going to press the issue for witnesses to testify at the Senate Impeachment trial than they will subpoena former Vice President Joe Biden and Hunter Biden.
Biden also said during his tour that he is not going to testify at the Senate voluntarily because it would take attention away from the “crimes” President Trump has committed.
“No, I’m not going to let them take their eye off the ball. The President is the one who has committed impeachable crimes, and I’m not going to let him divert from that. I’m not going to let anyone divert from that. He did not address how he would respond to a subpoena until Friday. This is all about a diversion.”
The only person who is trying to divert peoples attention is the former Vice President, the last thing he wants is to be exposed for the crimes he has committed.
