Kasparian Appears On Podcast For Interview

It looks like left-wing commentator Ana Kasparian has finally seen the light—or at least a glimmer of common sense. After years of pushing progressive politics as co-host of The Young Turks, she’s now revealed that she’s abandoned the Democratic Party. And the reason? A disturbing and personal one: Kasparian was sexually assaulted by a homeless man while walking her dog, and when she spoke out about it, her own political tribe turned on her.

During an interview on Jillian Michaels’ Keeping It Real podcast, Kasparian recounted the terrifying experience from 2022. She was out walking her dog when two homeless men, clearly strung out and acting erratically, approached her. One of them grabbed her by the hips and started humping her while she was bending down to pick up after her dog. Kasparian, normally confident in her ability to defend herself, was caught off guard and terrified. With no way to protect herself and alone except for her dog, she was left shaken as the men laughed and walked away.

What’s truly disturbing isn’t just the assault itself but what came after. When Kasparian opened up about her experience, thinking she was just sharing a traumatic event, the backlash from her own side was swift and brutal. Instead of sympathy or support, she was met with accusations of painting the homeless in a bad light. Critics berated her for “stigmatizing” the homeless community—because, apparently, talking about being sexually assaulted by someone on the street is now an indictment of an entire demographic.

And if that wasn’t enough, some even accused her of being racist. Never mind that Kasparian never mentioned the race of the attackers (they were white, for the record)—her critics assumed she was talking about minorities and used that as a cudgel to smear her. As she put it, “That woke me up.” You don’t say.

“A few people accused me of being racist when I had never disclosed the race of the individuals who did this to me, and in fact, they were white,” she said. “And so like, when they started accusing me of being racist, I’m like, wait a minute, why are you assuming that the people who did this? Of course, yeah, like, I think you might have a problem here. Exactly. Yeah. That woke me up. That woke me up. That woke me up.”

This experience opened her eyes to the very real contradictions in the woke ideology she once defended. Kasparian realized that the people attacking her had deeply ingrained stereotypes of their own. They automatically assumed the assailants were minorities, exposing their own biases while lecturing her about “racism.”

And that wasn’t all. Kasparian began to notice how the Democratic Party, the same party she’d supported, continuously infantilizes minorities with their policies, treating people of color as though they need constant saving by their so-called white saviors.

It’s ironic, isn’t it? For years, Kasparian had been part of the progressive echo chamber that silences dissent and labels any critique as “bigotry.” But the moment she stepped outside their carefully crafted narrative—by merely sharing her lived experience, no less—they turned on her. This is the problem with the modern left: they’re more concerned about protecting their ideology than addressing real-world issues, like rising crime, homelessness, or the safety of women.

So, welcome to reality, Ana. It might be a little late, but better late than never.
