Kennedy Comments On Trump Decision

Democrats are absolutely beside themselves now that the Trump administration—along with Elon Musk, the DOGE team, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio—has slammed the brakes on the endless flood of taxpayer money pouring out of USAID. It’s almost as if stopping waste, fraud, and abuse is the worst thing that’s ever happened to them.

Their latest meltdown? Pretending that the DOGE team is some kind of “unelected” cabal snooping where they don’t belong. The irony here is off the charts. The same people who had no problem with unelected bureaucrats at USAID shoveling billions out the door without oversight are now suddenly concerned about accountability. But let’s be honest: it’s not that they care about oversight—it’s that they care about who is doing the overseeing. For decades, Democrats have treated agencies like USAID as their personal slush funds, and now that someone is finally lifting the curtain, they’re in full-blown panic mode.

And when they’re panicking, they get nasty. After WIRED magazine recklessly doxxed members of the DOGE team, the threats started rolling in—ugly, violent threats against people simply doing their job. Even the acting U.S. Attorney for D.C. had to step in and make it clear that law enforcement was getting involved. But this shouldn’t be surprising. Just ask Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), who revealed that she was threatened when she started poking around USAID’s spending in Ukraine. That’s how desperate these people are to keep their little operation hidden from public view.

The biggest joke of all is that DOGE isn’t some rogue group of private citizens with unauthorized access to government data. It’s literally the rebranded U.S. Digital Service, an official part of the Executive Office of the President, which means Trump has every right—actually, the responsibility—to use it to investigate the executive branch. So when Democrats scream about how DOGE shouldn’t have access to this information, what they’re really saying is that the president shouldn’t have control over his own administration. It’s nonsense, but then again, Democrats don’t tend to make a lot of sense when they’re losing their grip on power.

And nobody brings them crashing back to reality quite like Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA), who dismantled their entire tantrum on Hannity this week. In his usual no-nonsense style, Kennedy got right to the heart of the matter.

He started off with a classic Kennedy-ism: “I like omelets better than sex. Um, not really, but you get the point—I like omelets. But you can’t make an omelet without breaking some eggs.” Translation? If you’re going to clean up Washington’s mess, some people are going to get upset. Too bad.

Then he dropped the hammer: “Trump ran on a promise of reviewing every single penny in the federal budget. Now how are you going to review the spending in the federal budget without reviewing the spending?” Exactly. But apparently, asking where taxpayer money went is now considered a crime against democracy by the same people who want to raise your taxes every five minutes.

And here’s where Kennedy really stuck it to them: “Many of my Democratic colleagues and some of the tofu-eating wokeratti at USAID are screaming like they’re part of a prison riot because they don’t want us reviewing the spending. But that’s all Mr. Musk is doing, and he’s finding some pretty interesting stuff. To my friends who are upset, I would say, with respect, you know, call somebody who cares…They better get used to this. It’s USAID today, it’s going to be Department of Education tomorrow.”

Bingo. The Democrats spent the last four years obsessing over one question: Who needs to pay more in taxes? But as Kennedy put it, the question Republicans and President Trump are asking is, What the hell happened to the money?

And that’s why Democrats are losing their collective minds—because, for once, they’re not in control of the narrative, and all the dirty little secrets they thought would never see the light of day are finally being exposed.

Kennedy had one last piece of advice for Musk: put it all in a book, hold a press conference, and go through every ridiculous, wasteful expense, line by line. And he’s right—because there’s not a single Democrat in Washington who could defend it. They won’t even try.

They know they’ve been caught. And watching them flail is nothing short of glorious.
