Vice President Kamala Harris dropped the f-bomb during a speech at the annual Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies Legislative Leadership summit on Monday. And to make matters worse, the audience actually applauded her vulgarity.
Harris, who is supposed to be a role model for young people, took it upon herself to give some “advice” to Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander youths – although her foul language was completely unnecessary. She urged them to “kick that f***ing door down” when faced with a closed door because, apparently, that’s what being a leader is all about.
“We have to know that sometimes people will open the door for you and leave it open. Sometimes they won’t, and then you need to kick that f‑‑‑ing door down,” Harris said.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, Harris’s conversation partner, actor and comedian Jimmy O. Yang, even joked about putting the vice president’s profanity on t-shirts. Is this what our political discourse has come to? Promoting vulgar language on clothing?
The use of such foul language is especially troubling coming from someone who holds the second-highest office in the country. It clearly reflects the lack of respect and decency in our society today. Harris’s expletive came after Yang asked her about her experiences as the first Black American and South Asian American vice president.
Sadly, this is just the latest in a string of incidents where Harris has shown her lack of professionalism. From her cringe-worthy cackle to her constant interrupting during debates, it’s becoming increasingly clear that Harris is not fit to hold such an important position.
Wise words from our eloquent Vice President: “We have to know that sometimes people will open the door for you and leave it open. Sometimes they won’t, and then you need to kick that f***ing door down [creepy cackling]”pic.twitter.com/wY4jh9K9tg

It’s no surprise that this is happening under the Biden-Harris administration, where pandering is the name of the game. In fact, the administration has just launched a $14 million advertising campaign aimed at these very communities, likely in an attempt to distract from the failures of their first 100 days.
But let’s not be fooled by their superficial attempts at inclusivity. This administration has done nothing but push divisive policies and rhetoric, and Harris’s use of profanity is just another example of their lack of respect for traditional values and common decency.
Vice President Kamala Harris’s use of the F-bomb during a leadership summit is disgraceful and shows her true character—or lack thereof. We can only hope that our future leaders will have the grace and dignity to rise above the politically correct vulgarity that has become all too common in our society today.
