Left-Wing Group Launches #DontRunJoe Ad – Watch

At least one left-wing group has gone on record pleading with President Joe Biden not to run again for a second term in 2024.

The group called “RootsAction” has published a nationwide advertisement entitled “Don’t Run Joe.” They address concerns about how low his job approval rating is and they maintain that he can’t be former President Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla) should the Florida governor decide to run.

The activist group defined themselves as a “progressive group that helped defeat Trump,” and they fear that if Biden runs, many Americans just won’t vote for him. In the ad, one voter is heard saying, “we can’t afford to lose the White House to a Republican who could defeat status-quo Joe.”

Another voice in the ad says, “it’s critical that we don’t allow a Republican to win the White House in 2024.”

“With his low popularity, it’s too much of a gamble,” another voter said.

The ad will be featured on some liberal networks and TV shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live. It’s already getting attention on social media with people using the hashtag DontRunJoe.

“It’s not the time for half measures. There’s no room to compromise when so much is on the line. #DontRunJoe”

Norman Solomon one of the founders of RootsAction, said that Biden’s public approval ratings are dismal and they have been that way all year. He also said, “no amount of bravado from the White House can change the severe vulnerabilities that a Biden 2024 campaign would face.”

The president’s approval rating just keeps going lower even after the results of the midterm elections. According to an AP-NORC survey, 71 percent of Americans believe the country is heading in the wrong direction, compared to 28 percent who think the U.S. is doing well.

The poll also found that 55 percent disapprove of Biden’s job in the Oval Office and only 40 percent of Democratic voters believe Biden should run for re-election.
