Tucker Carlson is absolutely shredding a lot of the nonsense that has become the accepted storyline for the January 6 riot on the Capitol.
Here are some examples of fake news:
It was worse than Pearl Harbor or the 9/11 attacks.
Trump supporters killed Capitol Police officers.
Those who have been arrested like Jacob Chansley are domestic terrorists.
The truth is that this “QAnon Shaman,” who was given a four-year sentence, was being escorted through the Capitol Building by the Capitol police themselves. Most rapists and other violent criminals don’t get nearly as much jail time nowadays.
The most shocking part of this story so far just came out this week. The January 6 Select Committee chair, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), didn’t even review the video footage before forcibly plunging the nation through this court.
“I’m actually not aware of any member of the committee who had access [to the footage]. We had a team of employees who kind of went through the video,” he said.
What?
The chairman of the investigative committee on the riot never let any of his committee even see the security video of the event they are investigating.
Think about all the press that Liz Cheney had during this probe, and she never saw the video footage. This is gross incompetence, to say the least, and all the Democrats just went along with the program. The press just kept giving them political cover. Them.
The lies were made up, and the judicial system believed them. All because of the collective fervor against former President Donald Trump.
The investigative process took so long that by the time it was to be unraveled, most were too concerned about the tanking economy and the global war in Ukraine.
It was a total waste of time and now the truth is being revealed.
Take a look at this:
McCarthy has granted lawmakers the option to view Capitol footage from January 6 if they request to see it. @RepMTG told CNN that "any of us can go, you just have to schedule the time with the Speaker's office. … I am scheduled to go and I can take my staff and with me.”

.@BennieGThompson, former chair of the Jan. 6 committee, said lawmakers were never given that type of access to the footage last Congress. “It’s strictly a new policy that the new speaker has put in place," he told CNN.
