Major US Grocery Store Chain Issues Dire Warning About Food Supply

Just another day in Biden’s America, a major United States grocery store chain just issued a dire warning.

Prices are about to go through the roof.

Cincinnati-based Kroger announced that inflation is “running longer than management anticipated” and that prices are about to continue to increase.

Kroger is predict that prices are going to rise another 2 to 3 percent through the rest of the year. Prices of beef are already up 14% and pork has risen 12% as well. Compared to 2020 fresh fruit has risen 4.9%!

From the Dailymail:

Increases follow five months of consecutive price increases for all three categories. Prices have been driven up by strong domestic and international demand, high feed costs, and supply chain disruptions due to the Covid pandemic.

Winter storms and drought impacted meat prices this spring, and processing facility closures due to cybersecurity attacks impacted beef and other meat production in May.

Beef and veal prices are now predicted to increase between four and five percent in 2021.

Pork prices are predicted to increase between five and six percent, while poultry prices are predicted to increase between three and four percent.

Prices for the aggregate category of ‘meats’ are predicted to increase between 3.5 and 4.5 percent for the remainder of 2021.

Of all the CPI food-at-home categories tracked by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Economic Research Service, the fresh fruits category has had the largest relative price increase (4.9 percent) and the fresh vegetables category the smallest (0.4 percent) compared to last year.

The Biden administration is blaming the prices and supply chain issues on meat processing plants. Biden claims meat processors are “pandemic profiteering” and that there’s a lack of competition in the industry.

There were no issues with inflation until Biden took office and now his administration wants to blame it on everyone else.

If you think this is bad just wait until Biden’s vaccine mandates effects trucking companies. How many truck drivers are going to resign? It wouldn’t take that much to cause a shortage.

For example, an upstate New York Hospital is shutting down their maternity ward after 30 staff members left because of the hospitals vaccine mandate.
