Media Caught With Pants Down Trying To Pull Another Coronavirus Hoax

The media got caught with its pants down when it tried to pull another coronavirus hoax.

“CBS This Morning” was discussing New York’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s claim that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) only gave the state 400 ventilators, when he requested 30,000 on March 25th. The network then used footage of a crowded Italian hospital room obtained by Sky News on March 22 during one of their segments.

The network now claims that it was an “editing mistake.”

“It was an editing mistake. We took immediate steps to remove it from all platforms and shows,” a CBS spokesperson said in a statement to the Daily Caller.

Sky News’s report shows the same hospital that CBS aired just a few days later. CBS News aired misleading footage during a segment that bashed FEMA and the Trump administration for a lack of ventilators, claiming they were showing a New York hospital.

“This is the main hospital in Bergamo, in Lombardy province. It’s one of the most advanced hospitals in Europe,” according to Sky News on March 22.

CBS News weren’t the only ones in the media eating their words, so did Rachel Maddow.

Last week she said that it was “nonsense” that the USNS ship Comfort would be ready to set sail for New York in a week and claimed the President was lying.

I have some good news for New York and bad news for Maddow.
