First Lady Melania Trump has responded to the event that occurred last week at the Capitol and the media flipped out.
Mrs. Trump released a statement on Monday to ask Americans to use “this time is solely about healing our country” and should not be used for “personal gain.”
The First Lady wrote:
I am disappointed and disheartened with what happened last week. I find it shameful that surrounding these tragic events there has been salacious gossip, unwarranted personal attacks, and false misleading accusations on me – from people who are looking to be relevant and have an agenda. This time is solely about healing our country and its citizens. It should not be used for personal gain.
Our Nation must heal in a civil manner. Make no mistake about it, I absolutely condemn the violence that has occurred on our Nation’s Capitol. Violence is never acceptable.
Mrs. Trump asked people to “stop the violence, never make assumptions based on the color of a person’s skin or use differing political ideologies as a basis for aggression and viciousness.”
“It is inspiring to see that so many have found a passion and enthusiasm in participating in an election, but we must not allow that passion to turn to violence,” the first lady continued. “Our path forward is to come together, find our commonalities, and be the kind and strong people that I know we are.”
In closing, Mrs. Trump said, “Most importantly, I ask for healing, grace, understanding, and peace for our great Nation.
Every day let us remember that we are one Nation under God. God bless you all and God bless the United States of America.

The First Lady’s statement really triggered the media.
FLOTUS @MelaniaTrump said her heart goes out to” the seditionists who died in a violent insurrection seeking to overturn the election, & Capitol Police officers who died defending against it.
Trying to imagine Laura Bush saying her heart went out to 9/11 attackers on 9/16/2001. pic.twitter.com/nlPPh8UDLg

Quite an official statement from First Lady Melania Trump – typos, deceased rioters’ names listed in the same sentence as Sicknick’s and listed first, complaints about how she is being treated… https://t.co/3XkQgFFJAb pic.twitter.com/C2YI3lvCVL

Five people died in a domestic terror attack on our own republic last week incited by her husband but Melania Trump is the victim in this?! Every morning I think I can’t get more disgusted….

Only the media would take the words “Make no mistake about it, I absolutely condemn the violence that has occurred on our Nation’s Capitol. Violence is never acceptable,” and twist them.
