Michigan’s Primary Has Hasan Piker Furious

A popular leftist streamer lost his cool over a close election result in Michigan. Hasan Piker called his own Democratic voters “unbelievably Islamophobic pieces of s–t” during a live broadcast. This happened right after the party’s candidate won a Senate primary by a very slim margin. He did not hold back his anger on Tuesday night. The scene played out on Twitch for over eleven hours straight. Many people watched him lash out at voters who did not support his choice.

Piker was furious that the race was not a landslide victory for Abdul El-Sayed. According to reports, El-Sayed held a lead of less than four points with 95 percent of votes counted. Piker felt the party base should have rallied behind him without question. Instead, he saw hesitation and criticism from common sense Democrats. He took to the airwaves to scream at them for their doubts. He claimed they had called the candidate a terrorist and a fake doctor for months.


Piker did not just get upset; he dropped F-bombs repeatedly while attacking the crowd. He told his viewers they were acting like they needed to come to him now. “Do you wanna f*ing win or not? Lock the f* in, okay? Lock the f*** in,” he shouted. The New York Post reported he stated that people had called the candidate a sexist, misogynist terrorist. Piker argued that El-Sayed actually holds two degrees and is qualified. He insisted the criticism was rooted in bias against his religion.

He directed his rage specifically at those who wanted to mend bridges after the election. “Here’s the f–king take nuke for you: You are all unbelievably Islamophobic pieces of s–t,” he said. The Washington Examiner noted he argued that critics unfairly portrayed the former health official as an extremist. Piker suggested some organizations might have quietly undermined the campaign due to views on Israel. He refused to let anyone tell him that the work to unite the party was now starting.


Abdul El-Sayed did not join the streamer in his angry tirade. RedState reported that El-Sayed simply said he did not share Piker’s perspective. When asked if he would continue to campaign with Piker, El-Sayed gave a short answer. “I’m focused on campaigning in this state…I’m not,” he told reporters. He did not condemn the streamer, but he did not embrace him either. The candidate seems to want to move past the noise of the primary.


This silence speaks volumes about the divide in the party right now. Piker wants a unified front, but he uses hate speech to get it. El-Sayed won the primary, but not by the margin Piker demanded. The results remain too close to call as of Wednesday morning. The party faces a hard road ahead with such internal fighting. Voters in Michigan saw a candidate win, but the cost was a public meltdown.

We must ask what kind of leadership this represents for our families. A man screaming slurs at voters does not build a strong nation. It tears the fabric of community trust apart right before an election. The candidate declined to condemn the remarks, which leaves a bad taste. We need leaders who unite, not those who scream at people for voting their conscience. The next step is watching how the party handles this deep divide.
