In the wake of President-elect Donald Trump’s 2024 election victory, liberal women have announced a “sex strike” on social media to protest what they’re calling an attack on women’s rights. Drawing inspiration from South Korea’s “4B” movement, these activists are pledging “no sex, no dating, no childbirth, and no marriage” in what they believe to be a powerful rejection of traditional gender roles and “the patriarchy.” The intent? To punish men who voted for Trump and, by extension, for policies these women see as undermining women’s rights.
But here’s the twist: while they may call this a radical form of protest, it actually sounds a lot like an old-fashioned conservative message on abstinence and self-respect. The irony is hard to miss. After years of liberal ideology rejecting abstinence as outdated or restrictive, some on the left are now embracing the concept as a way to control their own outcomes—and it’s almost as if they’re finally acknowledging that restraint is a valid (and effective) approach. Who would have thought?
Radical lib women are melting down after Donald Trump’s landslide victory saying they will join the 4B movement and refuse to date men, get married, have sex with men, or have children.
See, I told you Donald Trump would be the most pro-life president in history.

The “strike” has sparked both amusement and a fair share of eye-rolling among conservatives. Social media posts from protestors, like X user @solitasims, advise women to “close off [their] wombs to males” and guard themselves until they find men who “value and respect” them. Another shared video shows a woman cutting her hair to discourage male attention. Radical feminists encouraging women to guard their hearts and bodies? They might be surprised to hear that conservatives have been advocating for exactly this kind of self-respect for years.

As it turns out, the unintended consequence of this “sex strike” could very well be a positive outcome for the pro-life movement. After all, fewer casual relationships mean fewer unplanned pregnancies, which in turn means fewer women seeking abortions. Conservatives have long argued that women hold the power over their own bodies and choices, which is exactly what these activists are now claiming to do.
Beyond the irony, though, there’s a bigger issue at play here: the manipulation of women by politicians and organizations like Planned Parenthood. Groups like Planned Parenthood have poured millions into campaigns designed to convince women that any restriction on abortion is a direct attack on their lives and health. Let’s not forget that Planned Parenthood pledged a whopping $40 million to help get President Biden and congressional Democrats elected in 2020.
Now, these same organizations are working overtime to instill fear around common-sense abortion restrictions, encouraging women to believe that care for miscarriages or ectopic pregnancies is banned. In reality, no state in the country has restrictions on medical care for miscarriages or ectopic pregnancies, nor are women’s lives at risk because of state abortion laws. But to Planned Parenthood and its allies, the narrative is more important than the truth.
As liberal activists shave their heads and declare a “war on men,” they may not realize that they’re protesting in a way that seems to affirm exactly what conservatives have long advocated. Respect yourself, wait for the right partner, and make choices that align with your values—these are values that conservatives, not the so-called “patriarchy,” have promoted all along. It’s the feminist “revolution” they never saw coming.
As a Trump voter, I fully endorse the 4B movement. Men will have a much easier time weeding out the crazies. Congrats everyone – sometimes problems just fix themselves. pic.twitter.com/n7nfvTTXUk

Ultimately, the 4B movement might have the opposite effect of what these activists intend. Suppose more women choose abstinence or exercise restraint in their relationships. In that case, it won’t just reduce the need for abortion services—it could even inspire a shift in how younger generations think about relationships and self-respect. Meanwhile, conservatives are sitting back and enjoying the irony as some of the loudest voices in the pro-abortion movement suddenly begin echoing values they’ve rejected for years.
