Murphy Responds To NBC Report

Ah, yes—nothing like a Democrat completely ignoring reality and pretending that the American people actually want more of their chaos. Enter Senator Chris Murphy, who went on Meet the Press this Sunday to insist, with a straight face, that Americans want his party to “fight” President Donald Trump. You almost have to admire the commitment to the bit. Even with dismal poll numbers staring him in the face, Murphy doubled down, as if insisting that Democrats should throw more tantrums is going to magically reverse their free fall.

Let’s break this down. The NBC poll in question found that only 27% of Americans have a positive view of the Democratic Party. Twenty-seven percent. That’s just about rock-bottom, and yet, Murphy’s big takeaway is that his party needs to fight harder?

It’s almost like he missed the part where voters have had enough of the dysfunction, the endless hysteria, and the desperate attempts to derail Trump at every turn. But instead of taking a hard look in the mirror and asking why the American people are rejecting them, Murphy just barrels ahead with the usual talking points about how democracy is at risk. Because, of course, that’s all they have left.

This all came after a week in which enough Senate Democrats actually had the sense to stop a partial government shutdown by letting a GOP-backed stopgap bill pass. And naturally, the radicals in their party weren’t happy. Murphy whined that a shutdown “would have sent a message” to Trump, as if shutting down the government to make a political point is a brilliant strategy. Sure, go ahead and stop paychecks for federal workers and throw the economy into more uncertainty—that’ll show him! The fact that he even considered this a reasonable course of action just proves how detached these people are from reality.

And let’s not forget—while Murphy was busy scolding his own party for not being obstructionist enough, the same NBC poll he was trying to spin showed something even more devastating for the left: under Trump’s leadership, 44% of Americans now believe the country is headed in the right direction. That’s the highest level since 2004. Let that sink in. After years of Democrats screeching that Trump would “destroy democracy,” Americans are looking around and seeing the exact opposite.

Inflation is finally under control, the border is being secured, the economy is stabilizing, and people actually feel like the country isn’t spiraling into oblivion for the first time in decades. But sure, Murphy, keep telling yourself that Americans want more Democrat “resistance.”

But of course, bipartisanship isn’t an option for the modern Democratic Party. Murphy made that crystal clear when he flat-out said that working with Republicans would mean “losing our democracy.” What does that even mean? Does “democracy” only exist when Democrats get their way? Is “bipartisanship” just a fancy word for when Republicans cave? The arrogance is unreal. Democrats are losing because Americans are rejecting their nonsense, and instead of adjusting, they’re just doubling down on the same tired fear-mongering.

The truth is that Trump’s America-first policies are actually working, and voters are noticing. People are done with the left’s obsession with division, identity politics, and crying “fascism” every time they don’t get their way. Murphy and his pals can keep screeching about Trump’s “extraordinary power” all they want, but at the end of the day, they’re losing because Americans want results, not theatrics.

So, by all means, let the Democrats keep “fighting.” The more they do, the more they remind voters why they should never be trusted with power again.
