NYT’s Reporter Gives Update In Arlington Ceremony

Folks, we’ve hit a new low in media coverage, and that’s saying something.

The New York Times just published one of the most reprehensible stories I’ve seen in recent memory. Their target? Gold Star families who had the audacity to invite Donald Trump to Arlington National Cemetery to honor their loved ones—13 brave American service members who lost their lives in the tragic Abbey Gate bombing during the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal orchestrated by the Biden-Harris administration.

Let’s get one thing straight. While Joe Biden was lounging on a beach and Kamala Harris was out campaigning, neither thought it important enough to commemorate the third anniversary of these heroes’ deaths. Not a word, not a gesture, not even a simple appearance. But leave it to the Times to gloss over that glaring absence and instead focus their venom on Trump, who actually showed up to pay his respects.

According to the Times, Trump had the nerve to “politicize” the event by taking pictures with the Gold Star families. Yes, you read that right—the same families who asked Trump to be there, who wanted to memorialize the moment with photos, are now being used as pawns in yet another media attack on the former president.

Maggie Haberman’s piece even dredges up quotes from gravestones to launch a hit job not just on Trump, but on the families themselves. These are families who lost their loved ones because of the very administration the media continues to coddle and protect.

To say this is depraved doesn’t even begin to cover it. The hypocrisy on display is staggering. When Joe Biden used images of Arlington National Cemetery and flag-draped caskets in a political ad back in June, where was the outcry? Where were the Times’ moral gatekeepers then? Nowhere to be found. No one bothered to ask if that was “politicizing” the deaths of American service members. But the moment Trump honors these fallen heroes, the press jumps at the chance to twist the narrative.

And let’s not forget—the Gold Star families wanted the cameras there. They wanted to document the ceremony, to have a record of the tribute paid to their loved ones. This wasn’t Trump going rogue with a photo op; it was a request from the very people the media now shamelessly maligns. Yet, instead of showing an ounce of respect, the press has once again proven that they’re more interested in scoring cheap political points than in honoring the sacrifices of those who gave everything for this country.

Yet again, this is about more than just media bias—it’s about a profound lack of decency. The press has spent more time tearing down Trump for showing up at Arlington than they have holding Biden and Harris accountable for the failures that led to these deaths in the first place. It’s beyond disgraceful. It’s deranged.
