Like a petulant child, Obama once again snubs tradition because the “orange man” is bad. For decades it has been a tradition that the first-term president hosts a ceremony in the East Room for the unveiling of the official portrait of the previous president.
Republican and Democratic presidents have held the ceremony despite the sharp criticisms that may have been used for the current President to be elected.
“We may have our differences politically,” President Barack Obama said when he hosted former President George W. Bush for his portrait unveiling in 2012, “but the presidency transcends those differences.”
Yet, former President Obama doesn’t seem to be able to transcend those differences because he has refused to allow his portrait to be unveiled until President Trump is no longer in office. That means that if President Trump wins a second term his portrait wouldn’t be displayed until 2025.
The bigoted Obama who can’t get over his difference with President Trump has no interest in participating in the ceremony as long as Trump is in the office, said people familiar with the matter.
Maybe Obama is just mad the whole coup he tried to orchestrate is being exposed and it’s possible one day Obama himself may have to testify before the Senate.
This is the second fine example of Obama’s childish behavior in the past few days. During an online commencement address, Obama cowardly criticized the President.
USA Today reported:
Addressing a virtual event for historically black colleges and universities, Obama said many U.S. leaders “aren’t even pretending to be in charge” during the pandemic. About a week ago, Obama called the U.S. response to the coronavirus pandemic an “absolute chaotic disaster” in a call with 3,000 people who served in his administration. During a virtual “Graduate Together” event Saturday, Obama told the Class of 2020, “This is your generation’s world to shape.”
Obama didn’t even have the guts to mention President Trump’s name in the attack however, President Trump swung back hard calling him “grossly incompetent.”

If I was President Trump I would get that portrait and have the ceremony without him, showing two empty chairs with Barack’s and Michelle’s name on it.
