Officials in Florida Arrest Disney Employees in Human Trafficking Sting

For weeks now, there has been an undercover investigation focusing on human trafficking in the state of Florida. There have been almost 160 people who have been arrested.

The undercover sting has been known as Fall Haul 2 and the surprise of the investigation is exactly who has been implicated. Authorities in Florida have found both Disney employees and local teachers to be among those arrested so far for human trafficking.

One Florida sheriff said that his department “always” caught Disney workers during undercover investigations. A bellhop at Disney, Guillermo Perez, was arrested after trying to have sex with an undercover detective for $80, according to the sheriff’s office.

“Now, where would we be with an undercover operation and no Disney employees?” Sheriff Grady Judd said. He also added, “Oh yes, we always have Disney employees.”

A 26-year-old Disney photographer was also arrested by the police. He brought a bag of skittles for the undercover detective, according to law enforcement.

“Our goal is to identify victims, offer them help, and arrest those who are fueling the exploitation of human beings and those profiting from the exploitation of human beings. Prostitution is not a victimless crime- it results in exploitation, disease, dysfunction, drug and alcohol addiction, violence, and broken families,” Sheriff Judd said in a statement.

A 26-year-old teacher was arrested as well for soliciting a prostitute. He told the sheriff he had track practice in the morning and therefore could not go to jail.

“No, the students have track practice in the morning, you have jail practice,” Judd said to the arrested teacher.

The sheriff explained this process if a woman is arrested for prostitution and admits they are a human trafficking victim, the law in the state allows for authorities to wipe the charge off of their record. This is the way they catch more of those over the women.
