Phillip Discusses Vance Recent Interview

Here’s the scene: Senator JD Vance, R-Ohio, is calling out Vice President Kamala Harris and her high-profile donor, Vinod Khosla, co-founder of Sun Microsystems. Khosla took to X (formerly Twitter) with some harsh words for Trump supporters, referring to them as “garbage.”

This, of course, is in response to an Associated Press story where President Biden first called Trump supporters ‘garbage. However, Khosla escalated it, remarking that “garbage” was even a “nice” description for MAGA followers. Now, the conservative base has questions: Will Kamala Harris disavow these comments, or will she keep accepting money from someone who insults a hefty portion of the American electorate?

Here’s where it gets interesting. Khosla isn’t just any donor; he’s a billionaire who shelled out $413,000 to Harris’ campaign PAC in June alone. He’s been funding her agenda with donations stretching into six figures—money that’s unlikely to go unnoticed as Vance and others on the right highlight this.

Vance took to social media, calling for accountability: “Will Kamala and her campaign return his contributions? Or will they continue to insult half of the country for the sin of thinking Kamala Harris isn’t good at her job?” Fair questions, one might say. Yet Harris and her team have stayed mum, without a hint of comment or distancing from Khosla’s remarks.

Kamala Harris did respond, though not exactly on this issue. She chimed in on President Biden’s similar remarks, which came after a comedian at a Trump rally cracked a less-than-classy joke about Puerto Rico. In response, Biden took it upon himself to fire back, referring to Trump supporters as “the only garbage I see floating out there.” Cue the backlash.

The White House was forced into damage control, scrambling to clarify that Biden’s remarks were meant for the comedian alone, not all Trump supporters. The president even claimed he only meant to call out “hateful rhetoric,” not insult a chunk of the American populace. And while Harris noted that Biden “clarified” his comments, she dodged actually addressing the matter herself, leaving plenty to the imagination.

Meanwhile, JD Vance sat down with Joe Rogan for an insightful interview after Kamala dodged the opportunity, and she has apparently chosen (as of the writing of this post) not to have a sit-down with Rogan herself.

Vance was laying it all out there:

Then he said this!

This was hilarious:

The interview was so good that CNN had a mental breakdown to the point they were personally mocking Vance and his mother’s addictions.

Now, Republicans might call this the classic playbook of “unify when convenient, divide when profitable.” As the election cycle heats up, it’s clear that Team Harris is banking on their core base and donor network—Khosla’s words and money included. While the conservative base waits for an ounce of accountability, it’s likely they’ll get nothing but silence and spin.
