Please, Liz, Please Run in 2024!

Is anybody scared that Liz Cheney is flirting with a potential run as an independent candidate in the 2024 presidential election? Only Biden supporters should be concerned.
According to a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll, Cheney would take more votes away from President Joe Biden than former President Donald Trump.
That would be the icing on the cake, wouldn’t it? Liz Cheney handed the election to Donald Trump.
The Wyoming Republican lost her seat in the House in the GOP primary to Trump-endorsed candidate Harriet Hageman.
The new poll found that 11% of likely 2024 voters would vote for Cheney if she ran as an independent in the next presidential election. But her name on the ballot would bring down Biden’s votes from 46% to 32%. They would only lower Trump’s support from 42% to 40%.
A total of 19% of those polled thought Cheney should run, compared with 51% who thought she should not. Given the choice between Trump, Florida Gov. Ron Desantis, and Cheney, 53% of GOP voters thought Trump was their first choice. There was a total of 30% who picked DeSantis, with 6% choosing Cheney.
The poll was conducted between Aug. 18 and 22 and surveyed 1,563 American adults. The margin of error was about 2.6%.
Cheney has some powerful political consultants in her corner and some of them have ties to former President Donald Trump and the massive Koch network.
Cheney served as the vice chair of the committee investigating Trump’s actions in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. She was the third-highest ranking Republican in the U.S. House.
She has vowed to do whatever she can to see that Trump is not reelected in 2024.
“I believe that Donald Trump continues to pose a very grave threat and risk to our republic. And I think that defeating him is going to require a broad and united front of Republicans, Democrats and independents, and that’s what I intend to be a part of,” she said in an exclusive interview with Savannah Guthrie on NBC’s “TODAY” show.
So the bottom line is this…Go Cheney Go!
