Police Investigate After Disruption At Party

A congressional district Christmas party in Detriot after anti-Israel protesters crashed the event and got into a shoving match with attendees.

The video posted on line showed a group of anti-Israel protesters getting into a pushing and shoving match with those that attended the party. The group condemned Democratic Rep. Shri Thanedar and demanded a cease fire in Gaza.

“It was something we never expected,” said 91-year-old Bernice Smith who was shocked when violence broke out.

From WXYZ ABC 7 Detroit:

One woman was punched in the face as she and a number of other people attending the party tried to push the protesters outside of the venue.

Jonathan Kinloch, Chair of the 13th Congressional District Democratic Party, said protesters refused to leave the venue after he and the owner demanded that they exit.

Cell phone videos captured much of the disturbance that spilled outside where protesters began banging on the windows of the venue.

The Democrat congressman also posted a video showing that he was targeting again by anti-Israel protesters who showed up outside his home.

Recently the Linoln Memorial in Washington DC was vandalized.

The U.S. Park Service told ABC News Wednesday, “National Park Service conservators have begun the process of removing the paint this morning.”

Back in Detroit police are investigation but no arrests have been made as of the writing of this post.
