Welcome back to our vlog, everyone. Today, we have a lot to catch up on, particularly regarding the recent protests at the Democratic National Convention, or the DNC. This is all coming from firsthand footage and reports, so hold on tight.
On Monday afternoon, even before the first scheduled speaker could take the stage, protesters had already breached the recently installed fencing outside the DNC. We’re talking about a full-blown chaotic scene here, captured vividly in video footage.
This footage showcases the very first moments when the protesters approached the fencing. In it, you can see one of the protesters cutting off a sign that had been posted by the United States Secret Service. It was a sight that was as surprising as it was concerning.

But they didn’t stop there. Within what seemed like mere minutes, the protesters had torn down sections of the outer fence entirely, pushing through to the other side. The footage instills shock and worry as we see the protesters getting closer to the United Center than we could have imagined.

It’s essential to note that many of these protesters wore traditional Palestinian keffiyehs or carried Palestinian flags. They tried to breach a second line of fencing but were held back. This protest was a clear and direct expression of their sentiments and beliefs.
Witnesses reported seeing at least one person getting arrested as the Chicago police officers, all fully armored in riot gear, held the protesters at bay. The situation had escalated to the point that the Chicago police had to disperse the protesters who had already breached the first fence.

What led these people to protest, you may ask? Most of them were voicing their objections to the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of the war between Israel and the terror group Hamas in Gaza. Many called for an end to the U.S.’s aid to Israel, and some even called for an end to Israel itself.
One particular protester’s sign read, “End Israel, stand with Hamas.” When questioned, this protester believed that “armed resistance” against Israel was the only way to bring about the desired change.
