Rep. Eric Swalwell Scandal Spirals Out of Control After Details From FBI Briefing Leak

Rep. Eric Swalwell’s scandal is spiraling out of control as details of the FBI briefing to congress are being made public.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy who was briefed by the FBI with Nancy Pelosi has said Swalwell should be removed from the House Intelligence Committee.

“The House Intelligence Committee is a special committee. The members on it have access to many of America’s top national security secrets,” McCarthy wrote on Twitter.

“Long story short—There are 200 other Democrats who would be better to be on the Intel Committee than Eric Swalwell.”

The Chineses Agent known as Fang Fang worked for Swalwell after he was elected to Congress in 2012. The scandal went public after Axios reported that Fang cozied up with several other Democrat politicians as well.

There has been no indication that Swalwell did anything illegal, however, sources in Washington are confirming he was sexually involved with the Chinese agent.

Swalwell is considered a loyal ally of Pelosi and Schiff which earned him his spot on the committee. However, now that Congress has been briefed she’s going to have a tough time keeping the lid on this. When the full report goes public Swalwell may lose more than his spot on the committee.

“The House Intelligence Committee is instrumental in overseeing our national effort to counteract our chief global rival’s espionage initiatives; for one of its members to have had an undisclosed relationship with a foreign asset in the manner described by recent reports is unacceptable and dangerous,” the members wrote in a letter addressed to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

“Because of Rep. Swalwell’s position on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, his close interactions with

Chinese intelligence services, however unintentional they may be, are an unacceptable national security risk,” the letter said.

I wouldn’t be surprised if around Christmas Rep. Swalwell quietly resigns from the House Intelligence Committee.
