The recent ruling staying FDA approval for an abortion drug has sent shock waves through the left and created a firestorm of protest. Woke politicians like AOC have called for the president to ignore a federal ruling.
The real problem is that some Republicans are ready to link arms with their opponents across the aisle.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) is one of the GOP leaders ready to jump the GOP ship. She went on CNN to stand in solidarity with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, among others.
Mace on Monday said the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) should ignore a Texas federal judge’s ruling blocking its approval of mifepristone, a pill that can be used to induce abortion in early pregnancy.
“I agree with ignoring it at this point,” Mace said on CNN Monday when asked how the Biden administration should approach the ruling. “There are other lawsuits that are happening right now and other states as well over this issue.”
There is a red flag waving when a member of the GOP goes on CNN to take shots at her party. Mace has done this before over the last several years while declaring that she is a principled conservative. The left and the libertarians just love her because she wants to legalize drugs.
Often it seems like she will say whatever it is that she thinks will get her the most praise from the powers that be in D.C.
Remember that she lashed out at Rep. Chip Roy and others who fought to secure concessions before allowing now-Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy to assume his position.
She made it known that she would vote against the most conservative House rules package in history just out of spite.
It seems like the radical left, like AOC, fall in line eventually when the leadership tells them to, but Mace is different. It’s absurd that a Republican is supporting Biden ignoring the judicial branch of government.
