So much for the 1st Amendment, especially after a Maryland judge banned any apparel displaying the “thin blue line”
Chief Judge John P. Morrissey sent out an email notifying staff that they are prohibited from wearing any “thin blue line” mask. The order applies to bailiffs, commissioners, constables, clerks, staff, and all judges across the 34 District Court sites statewide. An official stated that the ban does not apply to visitors.
Morrissey wrote that he was aware of “an issue of perceived bias” and that staff wearing masks or other clothing with the “thin blue line” will no longer be allow.
The judge took action at the request of the Maryland Public Defender’s office.
“We certainly understand what the judge is trying to accomplish here,” said Clyde Boatwright, president of the statewide Fraternal Order of Police. “But the concern we would have is, is this type of restriction for all advocacy groups?”
Drip by drip constitutional rights are being eroded.
There isn’t support for police like there used to be.
Biden, who was the author of the 1994 crime bill now claims that there is “absolutely” systemic racism in law enforcement.
During an interview on 60 Minutes Norah O’Donnell asked Biden, “Do you believe there is systemic racism in law enforcement?”
“Absolutely,” Biden responded. “But it’s not just in law enforcement, it’s across the board. It’s in housing, it’s in education, and it’s in everything we do. It’s real. It’s genuine. It’s serious. And it is — it is able to be dealt with. Look, not all law enforcement officers are racist; my lord, there are some really good, good cops out there. But the way in which it works right now is we’ve seen too many examples of it.”
Biden has been in Washington for almost half a century, if there is systemic racism in the government it’s his fault.
