A manufacturing company is in hot water after it was discovered they wanted their workers to wear a social distancing device that produces a loud sound if employees get too close.
Essity, a Swedish manufacturer, wanted employees at their France plant to wear a necklaces that would emit a 85 decibel sound if “social distancing is no longer respected.”
The French Democratic Confederation of Labour (CFDT), who represent the workers compared the device to a “a system comparable to that which deters dogs from barking.”
Christine Duguet, CFDT union representative said that “the idea is to discipline employees and call them to order” using this device is “an attack on individual freedoms.”
“Since the start of the pandemic, we have scrupulously respected distancing and wearing masks. We wear them all day, we are responsible people!” she protested.
The company is already using the system in the United Kingdom and claimed that it was just being “tested” in France.
Back in the US the coronavirus insanity continues, it has been learned that the State of California (currently experiencing a spike in cases) has left 2 million vaccine doses in freezers.
“California has among the lower rates of vaccine administration in the country, with only 38% of the 3.1 million doses delivered to the state actually being given so far — leaving close to 2 million doses apparently stored in freezers and awaiting recipients,” The San Francisco Chronicle notes, adding that the state’s ineptitude in vaccinating its residents is “putting the nation’s largest state far behind West Virginia, the Dakotas and most other states in the proportion of population that has been vaccinated.”
Republican Governor Jim Justice of West Virginia explained how his state has done a great job distributing the coronavirus vaccine to those that want it. You’ll notice the CBS anchor was trying to bait the governor to attack the Trump administration however, Trump’s team left the distribution plans to each State.

Keep in mind back in September the CDC told States to get vaccine distribution plans ready.
