Is former President Barack Obama finally coming clean on how he really feels about President Joe Biden? Was their buddy-buddy relationship one great big act for the cameras?
There is a new tell-all book coming out that will show the truth about the Obama and Biden relationship. We will see that it most likely was one-sided and Obama was restless about having to put up with his vice president.
If fact, Obama once apparently said, “Shoot. Me. Now” to his aide while Joe was rambling on in delivering a speech.
The book’s title is: “The Long Alliance: The Imperfect Union of Joe Biden and Barack Obama.” It gives details about the level of tension that existed between the two men in the eight years that they served together in the White House.
The book notes Obama’s first impression of the then-senator from Delaware, he was “condescending,” and he tended to “ramble” on about things no one really cared about.
“Joe Biden is a decent guy but man, that guy can just talk and talk. It’s an incredible thing to see,” Obama reportedly told his advisor David Axelrod.
The tension went both ways, Biden allegedly rolled his eyes at Obama and did not appreciate his “aloofness and glad-handing with fellow pols.”
Obama certainly had some things right about Biden that have become even more of a detriment to his position. Obama believed that Biden’s repeated gaffes would give his opponents “ammunition” to use against him. Yes.
The new book reveals that Obama was not completely in favor of Biden running for president in 2020. He thought Biden was “tired,” and that it would be “unthinkable pain” for Biden to last four years in the White House as he nears 80 years old.
Earlier this year when Obama came back to the White House, Biden could not help but look said as the whole room fawned all over Obama, even Biden’s staff.
This book is going to be another hurdle in Biden’s first term, Biden may be close to finishing this tiring race.
