The Real Reason For Gov. Northam Weapon Ban For Upcoming Rally Is Revealed

The real reason has emerged why Virginia Governor Ralph Northam has banned all weapons for an upcoming gun rally in Richmond.

On Thursday the Virginia Citizens Defense League sued Governor Ralph Northam after he declared a state of emergency banning all weapons for the upcoming rally on Monday. Thursday evening a judge struck down the lawsuit and upheld the ban and now we know why; Antifa is showing up.

Northam state of emergency declaration for the capitol grounds in Richmond encompasses all weapons including, “sticks, bats to chains and projectiles.”

Northam took the time to point out the ban was not in concern of the VCDL members.

“For years, Virginia citizens who want to speak up and defend gun rights have peacefully assembled here at our capitol. In fact, many of them did it so this past Monday.”

Northam was also referencing this past Monday when NRA members flooded Virginia Senate meetings to protest a number of anti-gun laws being debated in the Virginia Senate Judiciary Committee.

Historically, Virginia gun groups have never caused violence during any gathering, but something happened for Northam to declare a weapons ban.

Northam’s intelligence seemed to suggest that Antifa has decided to show up at the rally to cause mayhem.

Northam claimed when he announced his ban, “we have received credible intelligence from law enforcement agencies that there are groups with malicious plans for the rally that is planned for Monday. This includes out of state militia groups, and hate groups planning to travel from across the country to disrupt our democratic process with acts of violence. State intelligence analysts have identified threats and violent rhetoric similar to what has been seen before such as at Charlottesville.”

If you’ve seen what has been happening on the streets of Portland last year Antifa has caused a lot of violence.

Antifa confirmed that they are coming to the rally to support the right-leaning Second Amendment supporters and want to stand with them. The group claims that the government has unjustly taken firearms away from African Americans and wants to stand for them.

Forgive me if I seem speculative but I don’t think for one second Antifa is there to support gun rights. I feel that they are there to tarnish conservatives and cause violence.
